About

Well, what happened was...

For years, I felt stuck in a dead-end job. Leadership was a revolving door—managers either quit or got fired, and as a result, I saw no opportunities for promotions or growth. The company didn’t value what our department did, and that sentiment trickled down into our team. It became clear that if I wanted to advance in my career, I’d need to do it elsewhere.

So, I started applying to countless jobs, meticulously customizing my resume for each role based on what I thought recruiters wanted. But after hundreds of applications and few responses, I began to doubt myself—not just my ability to create a compelling resume, but also my worth as a professional. Every rejection (or worse, silence) was another blow to my self-confidence.

Then, in 2022, something changed. When ChatGPT was released, I wondered—could AI help me stand out? I slowly began incorporating generative AI into my resume process. At first, it was clunky and time-consuming, but I was determined. I started by getting AI feedback on my resumes and looking for insights in job listings I might have missed. Over time, I developed a system that truly personalized each resume—not just to pass Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) but to appeal directly to hiring managers. The results spoke for themselves: I finally started getting callbacks, and my confidence soared. I knew I’d cracked the code.

Seeing how effective my system was, I realized I wasn’t the only one struggling with self-doubt and rejection. Job hunting is a numbers game, but it’s also about standing out. That’s why I created Resume Rover: to make it easy for anyone to produce high-quality, ATS-friendly resumes in a fraction of the time. My goal is simple—to help you get noticed, land interviews, and regain your career momentum faster and easier than ever before.
